This is a stop gap measure

I would like to know if any of our members would like to meet up on an alternate MMORPG until MA sort themselves out re bad loots etc.

The reason I am suggesting this is, because, we have such a strong group here I would hate to see us all split up because of MA's business practices I formed Advantage back in February 2006 and we have seen our membership vary from 1 to 180+ and now back to around 40+ I have had to take breaks, the most recent being since I got this new job which is consuming most of my time so that said I would like to see alternate suggestions from all of you as to where we can meet up outside of EU but still do the same stuff that we do now ie hunting, manufacturing, teaming, trading etc.

I have voted for World of Warcraft because it is cheaper than EU even after buying the game ... current cost in the UK £14.99 for the disc and between £7 and £9 per month bearing in mind I was depositing between $30 and $100 per month into EU up until recently!

But I will leave it up to you for you to choose and as such I will go with the majority vote but I need every member to vote so as I can get a true idea as to what your feelings are

Please pass this on to other members

All the best

JJG

p.s. [color=red:3amybo6p]Please remember[/color:3amybo6p] I am not suggesting that we stop playing EU but just give it a rest until MA sort themselves out

Please could you let me know what your feelings are about these proposals below this post

I replied World of Warcraft because it's the MMOG I'm currently subscribed to but Lineage 2 is a valid choice also as I have an account there as well.

I have two subscriptions to Ultima Online -- about 12$/month each.  My wife and family all play characters there.  You are allowed 8 characters per server, and they have 12 servers.. so there is plenty of room on the 2 accounts for everyone in the family.

I also play Knight Online-- which is free, only have one account there.  But free is good.

Hi All

i suggest Ultima Online as it can be played free with no deposits and money is easy to get a few professions ( hunter , crafter , miner etc ) Hardly any lag  8). you can build custom houses. I play on a free server called Etheral Realms using a program called UOGateway .

Good Morning All  ;D

Well, i have been giving EU a break.... Firstly, because baby was sick & i just couldn't take the pressures of EU at that time as i had to devote my time to my son...

Secondly, i would vote for either Second Life (no hunting aspect, but is a mimic for 1st life(RL) lol) and once you know how to get going, it's alot of fun...

OR.... There is always the other game where u will find nearly ALL of the other EU players flocking too.
Which is Afterworld.... (AW)

Afterworld is very close to EU in gaming & is free to play also... But, u have to barter with other players for the things u want...
Izzy & Bunny are playing it & get on great with it... There is hunting & crafting there also....
Also, plz be aware that Afterworld is still in the Alpha stages, it's just opened up from Beta a couple of weeks ago... And the amount of EU players there is MASSIVE....lol

Hi folks!
I haven't been on line for quite a while now, mainly because I've been away but also because I don't like MA's new business idea (robbing participants). I voted for 'Second Life', however, I'm also curious to know if anyone in Advantage is interested in some serious PC racing? I’ve been playing the only real racing simulator there is (and I tried them all) for a while now, and I do LIKE it!! It would be fun to set up an ‘Advantage’ team and race on-line.

The simulator can be found at http://www.liveforspeed.net and is free for download in a demo version (the demo version is the real version but with a limited number of cars and tracks). There’s a one time cost of £24 to unlock the entire simulator. Give it a thought and contact me if you’re interested.

hello all... good thing jay is so great in having this site set up, because being in EU disgusts me at the moment... i will check out the afterworld thing for sure, but pete has told me about an RPG called darkswords... it's pretty cool kinda hard to figure out and is a somewhat young game development wise...  i don't know any other games to compare it to, but ya'll can check it out yourselves @ darkswords.eu

Now there's an 'Advantage' team on the racing tracks, still only one team member though... :<img src=" title="Roll Eyes" />

I did'nt vote on anything.

I tryed out Second life some time ago. I did it because I could relate to the way it was build.
It's a virtual world, in which every object is a piece of code (a program). Users create their
own items/object, which is program. So when you walk in that world, everything you see is
a small program. As a programmer I found this to be very cool. Beside thi,s I also found it to
be somewhat easy to create my own objects. The back site of the "world" is the fact that
there's alot of chaos, and that the second life world, is really more a chat world. But Oright  ;D
I'v seen some amazing graphic's there and you can do some cool stuff if you know how to
program.

I'll wait to try Afterworld until I'v seen you folks play it. When I get bored I play alittle
WarCraft (Frozen Throne). Personally I'm waiting for the new UT2k7 (new unreal) to
arrive.
