In-Game Communication !!!

Hi All

We will shortly have a dedicated TeamSpeak server available to us

This should solve the bandwidth problems associated with other voice clients such as ventrillo and skype etc

I have got this server for us via [color=red:2qvq6p5y][u:2qvq6p5y]e-lite's post[/u:2qvq6p5y][/color:2qvq6p5y][/url] on EF (feel free to check out my comments there) so please could we use it, I have to report various problems to him as they occur so our soc are effectively beta testers for this, but I am confident that it will win out with all of your help

I will be responsible for administrating the server and I will require feedback from all of you with regard to problems associated with it's use which I will, in turn pass back to e-lite ... this could be a great step forward for us (honestly) so I would request that everyone responds to this ... this could help set a trend

I will be calling a MAJOR meeting shortly to discuss this point

Please could all attend, time zones permitting I will also mirror the meeting for our US members

We have been trying to get this teamspeak server sorted for ages now...
Poor JJ was hosting & paying for the last one...
This has made my day....

Still waiting for the go ahead from e-lite

He said it would take a little while to set up the server.

For those of us who used TeamSpeak in the past when I home hosted it will remember the lag that occurred especially for our US members, with this new server there should be no such problems, which will be great news, to quote e-lite this is what he had to say about it

I have been back to e-lite and he has some hardware issues at the moment but he will get back to me when they are resolved

Hi all again :)

e-lite is still having a few hardware problems so for now he has fixed us up with a channel on his public TeamSpeak server for us to use until the dedicated one is ready he will also add more rooms if necessary for us.

So time to dust off that old copy of the [color=red:155r7u4a][u:155r7u4a]TS Client[/u:155r7u4a][/color:155r7u4a][/url] and point it at the following server .....

[color=blue:155r7u4a]ts.starbase.se:8767[/color:155r7u4a]  (Default Port) 

don't forget to use a recognizable nickname I will be using JJG
this will put you in the main starbase lobby ..... just checking it all works .... first brb ;) yep it does ... once in the lobby look for the room called [EU]Advantage, right click on it and select switch channel.

Hmm interesting I will be adding a step by step guide shortly as to how to set up the client but for those of us anxious to try it straight away you can go to the [color=red:155r7u4a][u:155r7u4a]Who's Online and Server Status page[/u:155r7u4a][/color:155r7u4a][/url], look for the room called [EU]Advantage and left click on it ... provided you have installed the [color=red:155r7u4a][u:155r7u4a]TeamSpeak client[/u:155r7u4a][/color:155r7u4a][/url] it will launch and put you in that room after asking you for a Nickname and then the Channel Password which is [color=blue:155r7u4a]entropia[/color:155r7u4a] have fun and I hope to talk to you in there soon :)

Edit ... Step by Step Guide added [color=red:155r7u4a][u:155r7u4a]Here[/u:155r7u4a][/color:155r7u4a][/url]

Well sadly it would seem that no one is interested in the teamspeak idea so unless you guys would like to use it I will have to tell e-lite that we are no longer interested in using his room or the dedicated server

Please guys you showed so much support in the past for this idea it would be a shame to throw it all away
