Ok this is getting silly now its Monday and I still cannot log in to the game, I have sent off repeated supports to MA about this including all of the information I think they'll need but now I think it unlikely to be a server load problem, it now looks like they may have tweaked something and broken it ... All other 3D games whether they be online or not appear to run fine so I am sorry folks the results of the auction on the beacon mission will have to wait until MA sort themselves out this is the info they have got so far

Hi again I seem to be having real problems playing EU,
This has been happeing all day today.
When I try to login to the game I get the usual splash screen where it says like authorising and then loading and of course the game starts and I will get serious video artifacts I then logout, login again and then it seems to work ok for about 15-60 mins and then crashes back to the desktop after that everytime I try to login I get the Authorising then Authorised message as soon as loading appears on the splash screen I end up back at the client loader but my avatar is logged in, after a few minutes I try to login again and the same thing happens again and so on for hours and hours for example I logged in today around 14:00 Ma Time and then I was unable to login again until around 20:00 I managed to play for about an hour after relogging to get rid of the bugged pictures and am now back in the same position unable to login.
So far I have tried three different Nvidia drivers 93.71, 94.24, and the latest one 162.18
Two different Nvidia Graphics cards 6600gt and 7600gs
And I have also tried shutting down all my startup items and have tried a repair install of windows
I am now completely stuck I can't login to the game to check my auctions I just end up back at the client loader screen waiting for my avatar to log itself out
Oh I have also double checked my ISP to make sure there are no connection problems
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated
Kindest regards

in addition to the above I have also re-downloaded EU and have installed the most recent full directx sdk(August 2007) and am still having the same problems
As other 3D Games seem to work normally whether they be online games or standalone games thats leaves a few possibilities, either their is an inherent problem with EU, which, unless something has changed within the past few days seems unlikely, or excessive server loading which is possible but if so needs to be addressed because if I cannot get on to play the game neither can anyone else in the UK. I have checked and thoroughly re-checked my own system and all seems to be rock-solid

Out of curiosity can I launch the game in some sort of safe mode which is available in some other which runs the game in software rendering mode to help check for problems

I am now getting concerned as it is now monday and I am still unable to login to the game, it is still the same problem I get the EU splash screen which says on it initializing, then authorizing, then Authorized, as soon as it gets to loading the game screen it crashes back to the clientloader screen with a grey box in the middle stating some info which I assume is sent off to you when I click ok
in the box apart from my os, memory, sound and graphics driver information
the 2 EU related ones seem to be
Exception Address 860825
PE version 117640200
I hope this is of some assistance to you
Kindest Regards
p.s. I originally posted this support under the "login" section of your support and it seems to now be in the "other" section

I hope they get back to me soon, so far I have only had the standard support received email from them
Which either means that they are ignoring me
or they are having a big problem with this and have been overrun with support requests about this problem ... hmm it could be the [u:24aydxh0]same problem[/u:24aydxh0][/color:24aydxh0] that participants in the US and Canada have been suffering from recently.
Anyway we will see what happens next
