Hi all

Well this is interesting I got a copy of Windows 7 rc1 last month, having never used Vista before I have no real frame of reference but so far, it seems to work fine, which is rare for Microsoft.
In order to test this properly I am doing everything via Windows 7 and I mean everything, I have thrown all kinds of software at it old, and new and it appears pretty stable, to such an extent that I am seriously considering it as a viable upgrade from XP Pro when it is released next year.
I tried out the Vista RC when it came out years ago and whilst I liked the features it offered, it proved too unreliable, not so with Windows 7 it all seems fine.
I would be interested to hear your opinions about Windows 7, for those that are trying it out, if you wish to try it out yourself, your starting point is here
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/This takes you to the main windows 7 page and you can download the release candidate from there and burn it to DVD, as well as find out any additional information you need, including setup options, in my case I installed it to a spare, blank, hard drive and dual boot XP and 7 but apparantly all you need for the install is around 5 GB spare space, but I would recommend setting up, at least, a 15gb partition or an additional hard drive if you have one.
So far I am liking what I see but, time will tell
