Hi all :)

As you know I am currently working on a new version of the Website, information about that is available in this topic
http://www.euadvantage.com/forum/index.php/topic,838.0.html
During this time, I am considering changing to a different forum software which I will try out on the test version of the new site, after spending a few weeks reading recommendations comparisons and reviews of the different forum software available the one that seems to top the reviews is myBB version 1.6.

In order for me to transfer all of the existing topics, posts, members and membergroups to the new forum software I will need to set the forum back to its default settings with regard to things like the default theme and no plugins, the forum will still work as normal but it will look different for the next day or so, also, during this time I will have to put the forum into maintenance mode for a very short while (hopefuly no more than a few minutes to maybe one hour during the actual transfer) after that this forum will be set back to its current settings and will function exactly as before.

Please bear in mind that no content will be lost from this forum, the conversion is purely a copying process whereby the contents of this forum are just copied to the new forum and converted to the database layout that myBB uses

In essence myBB appears to function in a similar way to phpBB3 but is a lot more secure it has also rated the top free forum software of 2010 with version 1.6 it equals paid for versions of forum software such as VBulletin and IPBoard with respect to security, flexibility, advanced admin and moderators tools (you can even design your own) and supporting modern web standards.

Please take the time to have a play with it and let me know what you think.

I am Aroura Flash MacAngus and I spawned in PA June 2009. I am insane, as evidenced by the fact that I recently spent 369 hours over 7 weeks searching for fruit, dung, and stones on Treasure Island, Calypso (it's been a week off and I still see papplon and brukite every time I close my eyes). I'm new to RT, I'd never been off Caly. before a few hours ago, and I'm looking forward to hunting and running all the RT TPs (I have, I think, 82 Calypso TPs, mostly run solo, nekkid and unarmed).

RL I've lived in Beautiful British Columbia, Canada, for over 20 years, and have been drawing a provincial disability pension since April 1, 2010.

Hi all

My in game name is Zeus (Roy Zeus Rock), totally made up.  My real name is John and I live in Virginia, USA.  I have 9 kids (ages 5 thru 33), 12 grandkids, and I work about 50hrs a week, so I don’t get to escape to our virtual worlds as much as I would like to.  I try to play at least 3 or 4 nights a week, but sometimes more.  I am usually online sometime after 6:00PM EST and before 11:00PM EST (that’s 23:00 to 04:00 GMT/UTC/in-game time). (FYI – press u in-game to see time).  I was spawned(born) at Cape Corinth, Calypso about March 15, 2010 (that’s a little unusual, most newcomers start at Port Atlantis, I guess the PA server was too busy that day).  I got really lucky and met Spartacus at Swamp Camp my first week.  He bought my first 3K of hard earned Sweat and invited me to the Society.  I remember running into the Soc terminal to check out Blood&Sand, and seeing that there were only 12 members.  I decided to see the bright side, that maybe I was in on the beginning of something good.  (That certainly turned out to be the right decision).   I am mostly a Hunter, but I Mine and Craft a little too.

Hope to see you all in-game.

Everyone post and tell us at least where in the real world you’re from.

Hi Guys.
This is to acknowledge that we know & are aware that ppl have a RL & that RL always comes 1st!!
But, we have also come to crunch time!

We respectfully ask that you let us know if you're going to be gone/inactive for more than a week.
I'm thinking of imposing a 1-2 months inactive kick of members who have given NO prior notice to any of the officers via the soc forums.
All officers have PM boxes in the forums. Let us know if you want to stay in the socs or, if you wanna play around with other games or need to take a break, hell we all need a break. I think 2 months is an adequate time line to let ppl know you won't be around for a while.
If we're aware of it, then we can be of help & not sitting wondering. If you love the soc, you can always come back & will be welcomed.
So, help us to help you!

Thx for listening..

Hi all :)

Sorry I have not been around for the longest time, been really busy trying to justify a job at a local community centre, I am currently working there as a volunteer and unlike a normal company I have to prove that I can be of use to such an extent that they can apply for funding to pay me a salary, not the easiest gig in the world :) but it does mean that this is the hardest work I have ever done I have been accepted by them as an IT Technician and they need me to cover not only the community centre that I am at now but a new one in a nearby town as well, unfortunately the change of government here has effectively placed everything on hold until new funding streams can be found, Ok enough of that boring stuff

Last night (Friday 2nd July) my computer decided to throw a wobbly and locked up completely after the initial panic I determined that it was that technical term known as FUBA'd as a result I had to do a repair install of Windows so am currently waiting(and waiting) to re-install all of the updates since Windows XP Pro Service pack 2 (they are still installing as I write this post *sigh*) anyway so my move up to RockTropia has been somewhat delayed I hope to see you all there shortly.

Aye, i think whut i actually forgot to mention is that it cost 40 peds travel fee via a TP (Teleporter) and that's EACH way!!!
Aye, i know, extortionate & we've been up in arms about it, but, it's nowt to do with the planet owners, but, MA's fee. I've heard tell, that this fee is to be divided up between all the hangar owners! I guess to make up for them not being able to "fly/pilot" residents to & fro ...
